VOKI
Every week we discover a program or an application to differentiate
education. How about talking about VOKI
which is a great product of web2 today?
Voki is one of my favorite programs. Firstly, I mentioned about what is
Voki? This is an application that allows you to create characters online and
allow them to speak text you type. Not just for English, you can write and
voice in any language with woman or mam’s voice. You can create your character.
You can be anything whatever you want such as cat, soldier, doctor, elephant
even Queen Elizabeth or Barack Obama. That's the fun part, isn't it?
The most useful part, for students, it is difficult to speak English or
any other language. One of the most problem about learning English in my
country is speaking English. With this program, you can ask your students to
create and speak their own characters. In this way, they will have fun and
easily handle the pressure of speech. This application is especially suitable
for primary and kindergarten students. You can attract their attention, and you
can teach simple English words in fun ways. For example, you can be a cat and
you can give information about cats or you can be a doctor and you can inform
about doctors. There is no limit, all up to your creativity.
How can we use Voki?
1) You should sign up.
2) After signing up you can create
your character with some limitations. It is free program but some of character
may be paid.
3) Then you can voice your chosen
character.
